Markel: Course Correct

From “Markel: It’s Not Over” (June 2024): “I am confident in the long-term ability and integrity of the Markel team. That conclusion is supported by their historic results, along with an accumulated belief from having closely followed their words and actions for 10+ years. I trust them to work diligently to try and create long-term value while being fair and honest with shareholders; I can’t perfectly quantify what that means, but I know that it’s what I’m looking for.”

Following the annual meeting in Richmond, as well as the Omaha Brunch that was held alongside the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting, today’s post is an update on some notable developments that I’m tracking at Markel.
